DIFFUSIONS

I call these photographs "diffusions" because of the method used to print them. I made the images using a process called "diffusion", which I developed in the darkroom. The process involves diffusing light between the enlarger and the photographic paper being exposed. The difference between these images if I were to print them normally and the "diffusion" method is very dramatic indeed. I am especially intrigued by the way many of these photographs take on an almost cartoon-like quality.
