PERFORMERS

I've always had an affinity for performers, being a pianist and performer myself. It's a different world when you sit behind a piano or don a costume or recite some lines in front of a live audience.

Some of this photography was inspired and indeed facilitated by my camaraderie with performers; it was often easy to gain backstage access and because I knew many of them, they were more amenable to a camera.
