During his lengthy career as a professional pianist, San Francisco Bay Area native Wayne Fettig became enchanted with the visual arts. His fascination led him to many museums and galleries in the United States and Europe. This spawned a decades-long, self-guided odyssey into the appreciation of fine art. Not being a visual artist at that time, Wayne was nevertheless fascinated with the creative process that went into making art, as it was a very familiar process like that he drew upon to compose original music.
But this fascination was a "hands off" appreciation. That all changed with the birth of his daughter and the subsequent purchase of his first high-quality still camera. Transcending the obligatory baby pictures, Wayne became enthralled with the medium as an instrument of fine art and began studying photography in earnest in 1996.
In the years since, Wayne has forged another career in art. As a result of the frequency of his exhibitions, he has received many awards and his photographs are included in numerous private collections throughout the United States.
